Mr. Leonard Wilhelm

Mr. Leonard Paul Wilhelm, 75, of 203 E. F St., Brunswick, died Friday, Sept. 21, at his home following an extended illness.
He was the husband of Marie Wilhelm, his wife of 33 years.
Born March 2, 1926, in Brunswick, he was the son of the late Luther Paul Wilhelm and Isadora Wilhelm Carter.
He attended Brunswick schools.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He retired in 1988 from CSX Railroad as an engineer. He had previously worked at Fort Detrick for many years
He was a member of Brunswick Moose Lodge 1582 and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 96.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda Katz and husband Dave of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sons, Neal Wilhelm of Brunswick, Phil Wilhelm of McCook, Neb., and Keith Wilhelm of Orlando, Fla.; a stepson, James Staples and wife Linda of Rohrersville; one sister, Virginia Persinger of Hagerstown; one brother, Raymond Wilhelm of Panama City Beach, Fla.; one half brother, Victor Carter and wife Vickie of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother-in-law, Richard Harris of Yellow Springs; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Harris; and one brother-in-law, Harold Persinger.
There will be no viewing and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
