Gary “Lamie” Norman Lewis, 68, of Knoxville, MD passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.
     Born January 23, 1943 in Harpers Ferry, WV, he was the son of the late John Fielding Lewis and Gladys Elizabeth Childs Lewis.
He was a retired painter in the construction industry.
     He was of the Episcopal faith.
Gary was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Vietnam War.
     He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Lewis of Harpers Ferry, WV; three sisters, Doris Mumaw and Frances Longerbeam both of Harpers Ferry and Barbara “Sissy” Brown of Inwood, WV; three brothers, Jack Lewis of Harpers Ferry, Mann Lewis of Brunswick and Jimmy Lewis of Knoxville, MD; one grandson, Christopher Payne of Harpers Ferry and a special nephew, Jamey Lewis of Knoxville, MD.
     He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Payne and one brother, Freddie Lewis.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 at Halltown Rd., Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, WV with the Pastor Bucky Chapman officiating.
     The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 PM.
