Mr. Paul R. Barker, Jr., 62 of Frederick, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 surrounded by his brothers and sisters at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
      Born February 6, 1949 in Frederick, Maryland he was the son of the late Paul R. Barker Sr. and Mildred Virts Barker. Paul served in the United States Army from 1968-1970.
He retired from National Geographic. He was an avid bowler and he bowled in many leagues. He also enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid Ravens fan.
     He is survived by his five loving brothers and sisters, Carol Coates of Winchester, VA, Diana Aiello of Frederick, Maryland, Sharon Harbaugh and husband Mike of Frederick, Maryland, Mike Barker and wife Kim of Charles Town, WV and Danny Barker of Brunswick, Maryland. He will also be remembered by all of his numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
     A memorial service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Saturday April 30th at 11:00 AM where the family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time. Pastor Mark Lewis will officiate
