Mr. Edward William Allnutt, 65, of Knoxville, Maryland
passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial
Hospital. He was the husband of Tami Price Allnutt, his wife
of 20 years.
Born November 29, 1945 in Sykesville, Maryland, he was the
son of the late Madeline Stem Porter.
Ed served in the United States Army. He retired from the US
Government after 32 years as a Facilities Branch Chief at
Fort Detrick. He was currently employed with Frederick
Electric Company LLC.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion
both in Frederick.
In addition to his loving wife Tami, he is survived by his
children, Edward W. Allnutt, Jr. of North Carolina, LT Jason
A. Allnutt and wife LTJG Rachel Allnutt of Poulsbo,
Washington, stepson, Matthew L. Huffer of Knoxville,
grandchildren, Colin, Kayla, Emily, Amber and Kendall, his
brothers, Dennis Porter of Westminster, Gary Porter and wife
Helen of Mt. Airy, MD, Randy Porter of Woodbine, MD and Mark
Porter and wife Lisa of New Windsor, MD, sisters, Carolyn
and husband Howard Pope of New Market, MD and Cathy Porter
of Westminster, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a stepson, Bradley L. Huffer, his
brothers, Wesley Allnutt and Carroll Porter, Jr and sisters,
Rebecca Wilson and Shirley Krebs.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral
Home, 1100 North Maple Ave. Brunswick on Thursday, May 5th
from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the
funeral home on Friday, May, 6th at 11:00AM with Rev. Noni
Sigler officiating.
Interment will be in Brownsville Church of the Brethren
Church Cemetery.
