KNOXVILLE - James Franklin Longbrake, 84, of
4004 Petersville Road, died Saturday, Sept. 25,
2004, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.
Born April 6, 1920, in Brunswick, Md., he was the son
of the late Harry Franklin and Daisy Schroyer
Longbrake.
He was a 1938 graduate of Brunswick High School.
He was a retired clerk.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S.
Army.
He was a member of Lutheran Chapel, Petersville.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge
1582; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136, and
Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96, all of
Brunswick.
He is survived by two sisters, Virginia L. Cramer of
Knoxville, and Sarah Chicchirichi of Charles
Town, W.Va., two nephews, one great-niece and
one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Grimes
and one brother, Baughman Chew.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2
p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home,
Brunswick. The Rev. Carroll L. Boyer will
officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Lutheran
Cemetery, Bolivar, W.Va.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral
home.
