Mr. Robert E. McIntosh, 76, of
Frederick, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Johns
Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He was the husband of Mary McIntosh of
Frederick.
Born Jan. 8, 1934, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Edward
R. and Pauline S. McIntosh. Bob grew up in Brunswick and entered the
U.S. Army shortly after high school. After his military service, he
worked as a computer specialist for many years. He was a member of the
Moose Lodge 371, AMVETS Post 2, American Legion FSK Post 11 and was a
Freemason. He and Mary enjoyed their summertime vacation house in River
Bend Park and he loved the water and boating.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife are four children, Diane
Whitmore, Karen Hoffman and husband, David, Sandy Stapleton and husband,
Tim, and Kenny McIntosh and wife, Holly; sisters, Rebecca Welch and
Jackie Ebersole and husband, Claire; brother David McIntosh and wife,
Carol; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and many other
relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 1, and
from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven
Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. 15 N., Frederick, where funeral services
will begin at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial
Gardens. Floral tributes are welcome or donations may be made to a
charity of one's choice.
