Mr. Robert Evans Himes, 73, of Oak Hill Ave.,
Hagerstown, died Thursday, Dec. 18, at Washington
County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 9, 1930, in Washington County, he was the
son of the late Robley E. and Charlotte A. Baer Himes.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He retired from Hagerstown Paint & Glass Company.
He was a member of the Brownsville Church of the
Brethren.
He is survived by two sons, David K. Himes and wife
Vicki of Knoxville, and Brian W. Himes and wife Kim of
Knoxville; four grandchildren, Amy Folden and husband
Bill of Jefferson, Kris and Melissa Himes, both of
Boonsboro, and Chaz Himes of Hagerstown; five
great-grandchildren, Bryn and Blake Folden, both of
Jefferson, Bailey Himes of Hagerstown, and Alyssa and
Austin Himes, both of Boonsboro; and
step-granddaughter, Whitney Furr of Knoxville.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec.
21, at Brownsville Church of the Brethren. The Rev.
Dan Johnson will officiate. There will be no viewing.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial
donations be made to Brownsville Church of the
Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Brownsville, Md.
