I joined the Navy on a delayed entry program before I graduated from high school and stayed in for 20 years.  It was a good career.  Might have stayed longer under other circumstances.  My 20 years with the Navy were mostly "Cold War" years.  I served on ships homeported in Norfolk and deployed to the Mediterranean and the Pursian Gulf.

Briefly What Happened Since Leaving School

After Graduation - I served 20 years in the Navy, then spent 4 years of "retirement" researching my family tree. I, then, went to work at a small private school as a handyman where I did everything from maintenance to teaching to administration. I went to work for the City of Norfolk in 1999 as a Codes Inspector and Special Police Officer.
