Briefly What Happened Since Leaving School I worked for the Federal Government for 35 years, retiring December 31, 2004, from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), when they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I was in the office of Public Affairs my entire career, retiring as editor of the Department of Energy's monthly newsmagazine DOE This Month. I married Art Winsett in 1972; I lost my soul mate to cancer in 2004. I had 2 children: Jeff, born 1973, died 1990 in an accident; and Gary, born 1976. Gary is married to Rachel; he is a government/U.S. history teacher at Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, Md.; no grandchildren yet |
