Joined the Army in 1943 and served in the 17th Airborne Division. Trained in North Caroline and Tennessee. Was sent to European Theatre Operation ( E.T.O.) in 1944. Froze feet during Battle of the Bulge and was sent home and discharged in 1945. Won 3 battle stars.

Briefly What Happened Since Leaving School

Hired on at Washington Terminal, Washington, D.C. in 1940. Married Evelyn McGaha in 1942 who passed away. Married Sue Jamison and were together for 32 years. Had one child. Sue passed away in 1971. Married Anna Lee Moore. Retired in 1973 and passed away in 1975 at age of 54. Loved to hunt and was an avid duckpin bowler. Was a very good dancer and was a member of the American Legion Honor Guard.
